8:30am: Cognos BI version 10.2.x passed End of Support on 30th April 2018 – so where too from here if you haven’t upgraded to Cognos Analytics V11.x?

Announced in mid-2017, IBM Cognos BI version 10.2.x has now reached End of Standard Support, meaning no new fix packs and no new development work. It is important to start planning your migration to Cognos Analytics and to assist you in understanding how you can easily glide to this current release, we will have Brian McGoff, Global Business Unit Executive, IBM Business Analytics join us to advise how you can transition to Cognos Analytics to modernise your BI platform and take advantage of key new features in this latest edition. Brian will show you how Cognos Analytics makes data-driven insight accessible to virtually anyone, regardless of technical skill level and how it can address the need for easy-to-use analytics without sacrificing security and governance letting business users stay on top of what matters most to them

PRESENTER:

Leveraging our collective best-practice knowledge and expertise from numerous Financial Performance Management (FPM) implementations, Bistech has created an innovative Headstart solution that assists organisations to mitigate implementation risk, reduce cost and streamline business process. This solution leverages all the features and capabilities of IBM Planning Analytics and has been designed to assist you to rapidly move from TM1 to Planning Analytics. In this session we will provide a demonstration of our www.bistechfpm.com.au solution and provide insight into how the pre-built components of this solution can assist you make the move to Planning Analytics.

9:40am: Are the numbers in your management reports the same as the numbers in your source systems?

We all know the benefits of a single source of truth when it comes to financials, both actuals and budgets, but what guarantees do you have that these are truly represented in the reports that are presented to the board, shareholders and senior management? These report styles, with a high degree of narrative as well as numeric, are typically produced in an unstructured, manual process prone to error.
The good news is that there is a better way, one that brings confidence to the accuracy of reported numbers, provides automation and controls to the entire process of producing any report containing not only numeric but the high value narrative of why.

10:00am: Conclusion/Networking
